History of Gant

Bernard Gant arrived in New York from Ukraine, and began working in a factory where he met his future wife. Their sons, Marty and Elliot, started a clothing manufacturing business bearing the family name in1949, specialising in manufacturing quality shirts for those who had served in the war, eager to dress more casually after years in uniform. The Gant brand has changed hands many times since then, but is now based in Stockholm, Sweden, and has branched out into many other fashion areas. Throughout all these changes, Gant has still kept to its core values of individuality and quality, and these attributes are exhibited in our range of Gant glasses.
